GROUPS
May 15-October 31
Groups tours may be scheduled June 20-Labor Day on Thursdays-Sundays with a 15 or more minimum by advanced registration. Tour operator admission is offered at a discounted rate. We prefer they are scheduled at 10am or 3pm.
From May 15-June 19 and October 8-31 groups may be scheduled on weekdays with a 15 minimum by advanced registration.
ACCESSIBILITY
This is a Historic House so only the first floor is accessible to those with limited mobility. The courtyards to the House and the Documentary are covered in pea stone. Depending on staff availability, a golf cart transport over irregular terrain to the Studio can be arranged.
ADVISORIES
Only low resolution, camera phone still images are allowed inside the House & Studio. Visitors may not carry backpacks, large packages or strollers inside the House & Studio.
The Museum welcomes Service Dogs as recognized by the ADA and the State of Massachusetts. Therapy animals are not recognized by the ADA or State of Massachusetts and therefore not permitted in the Museum.
LOCATION
Bordering Tanglewood, the Frelinghuysen Morris House & Studio is accessible from Hawthorne Street. From Tanglewood's main gate go south on Route 183 (.3) miles to Hawthorne Road. Turn left, go (.7) miles, and turn left again on Hawthorne Street. The entrance is (.4) miles on the left. Or, from the Lenox monument, go (.3) miles on Old Stockbridge Road, turn right on Hawthorne Street. Entrance is (.8) miles on right. Enjoy a10-minute woodland walk from the parking area.
